The office was established in 1969 by Joram Barr, Architect, and managed by him. The main focus of expertise is urban design, architectural planning and interior design. Joram has specialised for many years in the field of assisted living and homes for the elderly, where he is known as one of the experts, both in the areas of functional planning and also that of architectural and interior design.

A well known project in these fields are the chain of “ Mediterranean Towers ”, in Bat-Yam, Kfar-Saba, Nordia and Savion Junction. Also a chain of “Up to a Hundred and Twenty”, in Hod-Hasharon and Rishon-LeZion, and a branch of the “Palace” chain in Tel-Aviv, within the campus of Ichilov Hospital .

Among other projects designed by the office, are high and low rise neighbourhoods, shopping centres, theatres, cultural centres, educational buildings and industrial parks. Currently, the office is occupied among other projects, with two prestigious schemes in the field of hotel and leisure centres, involving all the expertise and experience gained throughout the years: “The Jordan River Village”, a holiday centre for incurably sick children, is being built on about 252 Dunams, and includes, public buildings, theatre, living-areas, cultural and sports centre, a small hotel and a medical ward. This project is sponsored by the actor Paul Newman and chairman of the foundation is Haim Topol.

The second scheme is a 1,000 bed hotel and leisure centre on 100 thousand square meter built-up area, being designed in the Dominican Republic for a group of British investors. This hotel will be built on the shores of the Caribbean seaand will supply holiday makers with all the requisite luxuries such as 7 restaurants, shopping, health spa, theatre, casino, bars, a golf course, a marina and bathing beach.
